No visa is required for Indian citizens to visit Bhutan. You can obtain the permit at the entry point by providing the passport or Voter ID and 04 passport size photographs.
To visit Punakha / Wangdue, a Restricted Area Permit from Bhutan’s Home Ministry is necessary.
There will be no fee for this permit. Each person, including children, should carry two passport-size photographs along with their voter ID card or passport. One can acquire this special permit only after they enter Bhutan. Permits are not declared on Saturdays, Sundays & Govt. holidays.
