Arrival in Cochin & Drive to Munnar (120 km/approx. 4.5 hours) 

Get welcomed and greeted by our representative in Cochin, and drive to Munnar. Visit Athirapally waterfalls enroute Munnar, which got its name due to the confluence of the three rivers which gave rise to the town. View gorgeous vistas, aromatic oil factories, spice and cardamom plantations, and take a closer look at some of the most endangered species of the world and Neelakurinji flowers, the purplish blue flowers that bloom only once in 12 years.  Check-in at the hotel. Spend the evening for leisure. Stay overnight at the hotel.

Touring in Munnar 

Enjoy morning breakfast. Visit the Eravikulam National Park, abode to several threatened and endangered species. It is a fabulous spot to enjoy trekking, and to take a panoramic view of the entire tea plantations. Next, drive to the Tea Museum (always open from Sunday to Tuesday), which throws light on the history of tea plantations of Munnar. Later, proceed to Mattupetty dam, Flower Garden and Eco Point.  Return to the hotel and spend overnight.

Travel from Munnar – Thekkady (90 kms / approx. 2.5 hours) 

Morning breakfast is followed by a drive to Thekkady (Periyar). Arrive at the hotel and check-in. The region of Thekkady is surrounded by lush green valleys, aromatic spice plantations and unique biodiversity.  This touring destination is popular for the Periyar National Park. Later, in the afternoon, take a boat-ride on the Periyar lake. In the evening, enjoy the traditional Kalaripattu dance (optional). Return to the hotel and spend overnight.

Travel from Thekkady – Kumarakom (130 kms / approx. 3.5 hour) 

After breakfast, check-out at the hotel and head to Kumarakom—a delightfully pleasant emerald peninsula protruding into the charming Vembanad Lake spotted with numerous traditional country boats, rafts and canoes. The freshwater of the lake makes its way into the mainland giving rise to a labyrinth of backwaters, waterways, canals and lagoons.  A sunset cruise with your loved one in Vembanad lake is a unique experience. Overnight stay at the backwater resort.

Travel from Kumarakom – Cochin (50 kms / approx. 1.5 hours) 

After breakfast, proceed to Cochin. Arrival at the hotel and check-in. Later, visit the city starting with Mattancherry Palace, gifted by the Portuguese to the ruler of Cochin in 1555. Explore one of the oldest synagogues in the city here.  Find several other attractions including the Chinese fishing nets, local spices market and the Kathakali Dance, Kerala’s primary art form. Return to the hotel, and spend overnight.

Departure from Cochin 

After breakfast, drive to the Cochin Airport to take the return flight back home. Tour concludes.
