Drive from Bandhavgarh – Kanha (255 kms / approx. 5 hours)
After breakfast, head to Kanha. Check in at your hotel. Kanha is one of the largest tiger reserves in the country. The forests are lovely and deep; though your chances of spotting a tiger are not as high as Bandhavgarh, they’re still promising. In addition, you can take a safari deep into the forest. Again, chances are you aren’t entirely left alone as in Bandhavgarh. Visit the Sal forests and large meadows that shelter tigers and leopards and support a sizeable population of antelope and deer, including the Barasingha or The Swamp Deer, one of the celebrated species of Madhya Pradesh. You can also spot a plenty of langur monkeys, wild boar and the odd Gaur (also known as the Indian Bison). The park is also the abode to over 300 bird species. Stay overnight in Bandhavgarh.
